Jean Echenoz's novel about Emil Zátopek (Running in English) had the potential to bring his story to non-runners too, but it's full of inaccuracies and hard to read. Dana Zátopková called it rubbish, and I have to agree.

Maybe not for: If you want a faithful picture of Zátopek, choose another book about him.
